I'm sorry to have been a bit absent from here, but thanks for asking, I did have a great vacation and feel somewhat refreshed. And I finally survived all pink sashes. :} I had never been to the Florida Keys. Like all the time when traveling interesting stories come along: People there have voted about seceding from the United States and forming a Conch Republic in 1982, otherwise known as Key West. Well, nothing ever came of it. But maybe the Texans can do better. And hey, here in Germany we also have some kind of Texans, we call them Bavarians. Apart from losing Munich, would somebody miss them all that much? We'd happily trade in Bavaria for, let's say, Liechtenstein or even Toscana. Sorry, just post-vacational random thoughts while preparing my talk tomorrow. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to blog here, too.
